�Due to wanderings around my neighbourhood, I found a small grocery store that is about two blocks away. �This is good because now I donapos;t have to carry heavy things like milk over long distances or on the bus. �Itapos;s weird because Montreal requires a different kind of grocery shopping than Guelph or Lindsay. �Although they do have larger grocery stores here, for most places it is just as easy (or easier) to go to the five places around the corner. �Now I go to the Fruiterie for fruit and vegetables and the Market Richelieu for milk and stuff. �That reminds me, I have to go get bagels sometime this week. �I could get those at the grocery store but the ones from actual bakeries are so much better the grocery store isnapos;t even worth it. �Ya, so in conclusion, Montreal is different but awesome.

Chrys is spending this afternoon lurking on top of the bookshelves with her head at an odd angle, probably trying to show me how her funnel is causing her great physical and psychological anguish. Iapos;m not fooled.

I put a plate of medicated food up there (the top of the shelves is her territory) and while trying to maneuver the funnel around the plate and get to all of it, she got angry at the food and started growling at it. The food. Even as she was eating it - incidentally, a cat growling while eating actually does sound like "NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM", only in a threatening way.

Mainly Bastet seems to be the source of most of her anger, either because she doesnapos;t have to wear a funnel, or because anytime a vet visit is involved for either of them, Chrys decides she hates the hell out of her sister for a few days. Which of course gets Bastet all riled up too, and it creates this feedback loop of growling and humming contests. So while itapos;s to be expected, it doesnapos;t make it any less exhausting to come home from work and walk into the crossfire of baleful cat glares.

Seriously. At some point she has to lose a will save and just let it go.

Tonight I get to help be security at a local Witchesapos; Ball, where I get to make sure that humans play nice. Should be easy by comparison.

Bagelmen got the ax today. I was called down to the office today and interviewed by Martin. She asked about Farrant and Bagelmen, and asked about inappropriate name calling by Bagelmen, and I didnapos;t have to lie or anything in saying that that wasnapos;t happening. I thought maybe they meant that the stupid horny teenage boys in Enrichment have been known to call her "STILF," but I donapos;t think that was the issue.

I thought maybe this was about the lava lamp issue, but Bagelmen was only in the room at the time. I donapos;t see why theyapos;d fire her when sheapos;s one of the two coolest people at our dumb high school.

More worryingly, Farrantapos;s on the block tomorrow. If they fire her, there will be student retaliation. Everyone loves her. Iapos;m cool with leading the fight, if thatapos;s what it comes to. We might have to unseat another principal here. You gotta do what you gotta do.

I am the proud owner of a sinus and middle ear infection.� Hoorah.� I believe this calls for another sick day.� I actually find this satisfying because it was worth going to the doctor.� She didnapos;t tell me to suck it up, she gave me a script for 10 days of antibiotics and prednisone, and a back up prescription if needed to treat thrush if it shows up after the anitbiotic.� She asked me If I eat yogurt and what kind and she hated my answer.� She cracks me up.� Iapos;m to only buy Stonybrook Farms (I think) organic tubs of yogurt because that is apparently the only yogurt that has probiotics worth paying for.� So now you know - get off that Yoplait crap.

She made a nurse basically pressure wash my brain.� Not that gunk caused the infection, she just couldnapos;t see much of my eardrum to check.� And I swear to God, the nurse went to shove the scary hose in there and�yelled �"oh my gosh you have such teeny ears".� Yes maapos;am, teeny ears and teeny mouth in a teeny head.� With a big olapos; tongue.� Thatapos;s me.
